Vitále Silicone Cover Dressings and Composite Dressings have an absorbent non-adherent pad in the center, held firmly in place by the silicone, uniquely formed in an oval shape open to the passage of fluids into the pad. The silicone adhesive allows easy and safe removal of the dressing at change time, without trauma to the patient. These dressings are indicated as a secondary dressing to cover primary treatments and dressings, or as a primary dressing on minor wounds, skin tears, etc.

Cover Dressings (also known as “bordered gauze”) have an absorbent gauze pad in the center, and a soft and strong backing made from spun-lace non-woven material. The adhesive border firmly holds the cover dressing in place, yet is easily removed at dressing change time.

Composite Dressings have the same construction and add a waterproof yet vapor permeable film to provide protection. They can be used on areas of the body affected by incontinence, to keep the wound clean, or over treated wounds while showering or bathing. The breathable film allows excess gases to escape.
